Clinical Supervision:
Clinical Supervision is considered an essential aspect of the helping professions with the aim being to review and reflect on clinical practice. It is a vehicle for providing skills and knowledge to supervisees and a framework for ensuring professional development in the clinical sector.

The main goals of supervision for me are to impart knowledge, encourage enhancement of skills, instil preparation in supervisee’s for success and moving on to their next step of practice. I believe that as a Supervisor I have various crucial roles such as teaching, mentoring, evaluating and monitoring the supervisee. It also includes sharing of experiences, providing guidance and building professional development in supervisees.

In Clinical Supervision I strive to provide a safe, supportive, and confidential space for supervisees to critically reflect on their professional practice with clients. I aim to aid this reflection by building on self-awareness within the supervisees and through following a framework of supervision.

CBT:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is my core therapeutic approach which I hold my Master’s Degree in, however I also work from an integrative perspective to best suit the client’s individual needs. Other approaches adopted vary from Adlerian, Behavioural, Brief Therapy, Gestalt, Humanistic, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Person Centred, Psychodynamic, Rogerian and Solution Focused Brief Therapy
